National Managing Partner in KPMG Fastest Growing Business
As the national managing partner of KPMG’s Advisory practice, Tracy Benard leads approximately 10,000 partners and professionals in the company’s fastest growing business.
Benard ensures Advisory operations are aligned to achieve the corporate strategic goals and growth of KPMG’s fastest growing function. Advisory’s focus is improving client performance, turning risk and compliance into opportunities, and developing strategies for enhancing value for leading organizations.
Her colleagues respect and admire her, and her staff proactively seeks her counsel and mentorship. They say she leads by example and the people on her team want to work with and for her. She is one of the youngest people ever named to her position.
Benard has 23 years of experience in providing assurance and consulting services to KPMG global clients, primarily in the financial services industry. Within that experience, she previously led Accounting Advisory Services at KPMG, achieving 75 percent total growth over a two year span. Benard said her biggest career transition was from Audit to Advisory. “I was motivated by the opportunity and challenge of helping build a new, under-developed part of our business. But I initially underestimated how different the work, the teaming and the relationship building would be in my new role.”
Benard holds a B.S. in accounting from Lehigh University. Benard sits on the Northeast Board of Trustees for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and is on the Advisory Board for the Accounting Department at Lehigh University.
