Jamie Ohl is driving innovation in the retirement sector by finding better ways to help people understand how their savings translates into income so they are prepared when they retire. She’s making a difference in people’s lives.

As president of Retirement Plan Services at Lincoln Financial Group, Ohl drives positive outcomes by focusing on the customer, plan sponsors, consultants, advisors and ultimately the participant. The Fortune 500 Company manages about $223 billion in assets.

Her colleagues say her extensive knowledge of the industry and passion for helping Americans retire with dignity is unmatched. Ohl is committed to providing solutions, services and education to help plan participants retire successfully. She’s focused on growing the business in ways that foster growth and innovation for its customers.

She is driving innovation, including the recent launch of a new mobile participant web experience helping people better understand how their savings today can translate into income in retirement.

Prior to joining Lincoln last year, Ohl served as a principal at Edward Jones, responsible for leading the broker-dealer’s strategic direction and product management for its retirement business. She has served as president of Tax-Exempt Markets at VOYA Financial, Inc. (previously ING U.S., Inc.) and Wilshire Funds Management at Wilshire Associates Incorporated.

Throughout her career, she has also held leadership positions at The Hartford Financial Services Group where she spearheaded the firm’s entry into the 403(b) market and led the growth of its 401(k) business. Ohl also spent 11 years at AIG VALIC and served as the senior vice president of Institutional Markets at the firm. She is active within the industry, working with various boards and organizations.

She said her biggest career leap was running her first business in the middle of the financial crisis. “I learned how to make very difficult decisions,” she said. Words she lives by are “life is short, love who you’re with and what you do.”

Ohl holds an MBA from the University of Nebraska and a BS in business management from Le Tourneau University.
